Eye Banks

Definition:
A facility which is maintained and operated for the extraction, removal, care, storage, preservation, and/or use of human eyes or parts thereof for purposes of sight preservation or restoration, medical education, instruction pertaining to sight preservation or restoration, or research.
Exemptions:
Any eye bank operated by the federal government.
Type Regulations:
An agency must obtain a license.
