Residential Child Care Licensing
Notice: Effective October 1, 2004, the responsiblity for licensing and inspecting day care centers (non-Pre-K), group day care centers, and family day care homes has been transferred to the new agency, Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning. You can continue to search this ORS web site for historical survey information (prior to October 1, 2004) on centers and homes that were regulated by the Child Care Licensing Section of the Office of Regulatory Services. The web site for the new agency is www.decal.state.ga.us. Child-caring institutions, child-placing agencies and outdoor thereapeutic treatment programs for children will continue to be licensed by the Residential Child Care Licensing Unit within the Office of Regulatory Services.
Child Caring Institutions (CCI)
6 or more children in 24 hour care.

Provides adoption and/or foster care services
